From cut editing to captions, narration and Shorts. A Windows video editor that adds an AI assistant to the familiar timeline workflow.

Basic editing works right away without signing in, and your videos and projects are saved only on your own PC.

What you can do

🤖 Edit with AI

• AI assistant — just tell it things like "cut at 3 seconds" or "make all captions big and yellow", and it applies them to the timeline right away.
• Rough cut — cleans up silent parts and stumbles and splits the cuts, giving you a starting point for editing.
• Long video → Shorts — picks the most watchable parts of a long video and turns them into several vertical Shorts.
• Node editing — chain clips as nodes and refine them step by step: color correction, cropping, camera moves, even AI photo/video generation.

For image and video nodes, right-click → AI generate and just write a prompt.

• AI style · background removal · camera tracking — follows faces, hands, bodies or any object you pick and frames the shot to match.

🎬 Make videos with production packs

A production pack saves the "recipe" of a video (script outline, tone, cuts, captions, voice, background music). Give it just a topic and it makes a video in that style, placing each piece separately on the timeline. You can edit everything right after.

• Photo documentary — script → an AI photo for each cut → narration → captions and background music (knowledge channels · explainer videos)
• Overseas reaction — from a single reference video link: find the reviewer channels on screen → download the original videos → pick quotes and add Korean captions → narration → hook montage, chapters, channel names and trailer B-roll, all placed for you
• Create a production pack from your current project or a reference video, import Claude skills, or install production packs from the ssok.ai market. Production packs are exported and imported as .ssokpack files.

⚡ Smooth even with long videos

For long-form videos over 5 minutes, it automatically creates lightweight preview files (proxies) so playback stays smooth. GPU-accelerated decoding · automatic audio/video sync correction.

Free features and the lifetime license

• Basic editing is free without signing in.
• Advanced features such as AI assistant editing · long video → Shorts · AI settings are used after signing in to ssok.ai.

Until the early-bird period ends, any member can use them for free; after that, they are for lifetime license (one-time payment) holders.

• The early-bird price rises a little every midnight — today is the cheapest price.
• Buying with a friend's referral code gives an extra discount (during referral promotions).
• One account can be signed in on one PC at a time. Signing in on another PC automatically signs out the previous one.

Connecting AI

AI features use the AI subscription or key you already have, connected in AI settings (ssokEdit doesn't charge for them separately).

• Brain AI (scripts · edit plans · picking quotes) — Codex CLI (ChatGPT subscription) or Claude CLI (Claude subscription)
• Photo · video generation — Codex CLI (ChatGPT subscription, no per-image fee) · Grok (SuperGrok subscription), etc.
• Voice — Fish Audio key, or Windows voices if you don't have one
• Caption transcription — transcription that runs on your own PC (Whisper) — no internet, no fees

How to install

1. Download the installer with Download below, unzip it and run it.
2. The installer has no digital signature, so a Windows security warning may appear. Click "More info" → "Run anyway" to install.
3. You can start editing as soon as installation finishes. To use advanced features, click Sign in at the top right.
4. When a new version is out, ssokEdit tells you when it starts. Click "Update now" and it downloads, installs and reopens.

System requirements

Mac is not supported yet. AI features need an internet connection and the AI connections above.

FAQ

Can I keep using it after buying once? — Yes. It's a lifetime license, so you keep using it with no extra payment.

Can I use it on both my home PC and work PC? — You can install it anywhere, and use it on the one PC you're signed in on. Signing in on another PC moves it to that PC.

Is it okay to make overseas reaction videos using other people's videos? — Credit the source (channel name · original link) on screen and in the description, and leave out channels that say "no unauthorized use". Copyright responsibility lies with the person who uploads the video.
